Data Analysis

It’s a proven fact that a Plant Based Diet can cure disease, improve our plant/environment, and improve our health all at the same time.

Let’s look at the Facts

Study’s show that those suffering from diseases like diabetes, heart disease and even some cancers, can be improved or in most cases reversed, by simply switching to a Plant Based Diet.

As we all know, Type 2 diabetes is a disease that causes your blood glucose, ie sugar levels to rise higher than normal. This is call hypoglycemia. This of course can be triggered by the types of foods we eat.

Foods known to spike your glucose are.

  • Soda
  • Packaged snacks, (little Debbie’s cakes etc…)
  • White Rice (which of course can be counter acted with beans)
  • Fast Foods, (McDonald’s, Taco Bell)
  • Red Meat (High is saturated fat)

Of course there are more, but you get the point…

Western culture thrives on all of the above foods contributing to the obesity epidemic in this country. By illuminating or at least drastically reducing the amount of these items can not only improve our health, but the environment as well.

Plant Based Diet

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Grains
  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Legumes
  • Soy

Reverses Heart Disease

The Plant Based Diet is not new for Cardiovascular patients. Research done over two decades ago by Dr. Dean Ornish showed back then that by replacing your meat, dairy and eggs, with a Whole Plant Based Diet can improve or even reverse cardiovascular disease, by unclogging the cholesterol buildup in your arteries.

Better for our environment

This is a hard topic for me, because I actually lived on a farm for 2 years and processed my own chickens. So I’ve actually been on the other side of the spectrum. I will say that the process was hard mentally only because you are taking the life of an animal which you will later consume.

Killing animals

Contributes to land and water degradation, biodiversity loss, acid rain, coral reef degeneration, and deforestation.

Livestock farming contributes to 18% of greenhouse gas emissions world wide.

Reasons to Reduce Meat intake and Livestock Farming.

  • Requires masses of grain, water and land
  • It hurts the global poor
  • Causes unnecessary animal suffering
  • It is making us very sick

There is so much more I can say about this topic but the point is. Something clearly has to be done. We can do our part by switching to a Plant Based Diet, which helps us, the animals and the planet all at the same time.

Will someone still eat the meat if you don’t? Of course they will. All we can do is encourage others to try it and see if their health improves.

Until Next time…

Be encouraged, as you encourage others…😀
