Today is March 30th 2020,
As we live and breathe, and just as we started to see a flux of older people taking the challenge to eat healthier and become a better version of themselves. Now this…
As a coach, father, grandson, etc… this breaks my heart to see so many lives affected by this Virus unleashed on people. This is an actual plague that is affecting the world globally
I will say this, scripturally this is written at the end of the book (Revelations). I’m thinking things will no longer be the same after this. As we prepare for a change in dynamics around the world.
As of now, so many states have shut things down demanding social distancing, and encouraging Social Media the very thing that has ruined the lives of so many people.
I will end with saying, be encouraged and keep your old and young safe, and hug the ones you love… Life is way too short not to…
Each day is a precious gift we get, and we should live it to the best of our ability. Whatever it is we want in life, our dreams, our passion, our goals. What gets us excited every time we wake up is the thing we should be doing. Pushing forward, and not being afraid to take that step of faith. I started Plant Based Power as a way to help people reach their weight loss or reduce bad eating habit.
Up and Coming Events
I am putting together an event at the Chesapeake Public Library talking about Plant Based Power and what are some of the things we can do to help ourselves with some of our health issues we deal with. Diabetes, Heart Disease, etc…
I will be posting a virtual flyer soon. Looking forward to meeting new people and hosting this event.
I gotta admit, when I first of this title. I am an 80’s baby, so immediately that brought me to RUN DMC’s Whose House Run’s House…lol You probably won’t get this unless you are either an 80s baby or before..,
Well I thought it was funny lol…
Anyway, Challenges come and life happens what are we going to do about it? Giving up should never be an option. One of the hardest decisions in life is facing those fears that tell you, you can’t do lose the weight or kick that nasty cigarette habit you’ve had for years. It starts with taking advantage of each day you wake up and say what can I do today to make a small difference in my life, but will also help impact the lives of others.
In the end, it’s not all about us, but its about how we can better our lives, to impact the lives of those around us. So push forward and set goals and make them happen.
Are you a dream chaser? The first question you are probably thinking, is what does this have to do with Plant Based eating? Well, it has a lot to do with it. When you are a dream chaser you have a vision of what you want your world to look like. You are willing to take risks do the hard things, and be ready or rejection, even though they say no, someone will eventually say yes.
One of my goals is to help people realize their potential by being the best they can be in whatever they are trying to pursue. If your goal is to lose weight by changing your eating habits and exercising, than I say work at it for at least 30-45 minutes per day. This is something that no one can take away from you. You have everything it takes to become the success you seek. So I say go for it, and don’t give up.
Stay Encourage and Keep it Moving.
I often find it hard to believe that so many people are causing self inflicted punishment to themselves, when it comes to diet.
We have a major problem here in the US and I’m certain around the world as well. We are not willing to take responsibility for our own health. Instead we rely on a “Healthcare System” that cripples us and makes us think we need medication for diseases like diabetes and heart disease. When in fact, it’s the food and it has always been the food.
If we begin to take full responsibility for our own health, like eating the proper balanced nutrition and daily exercise, we can do amazing things. The self inflicting punishment, is when we decide to put things in our bodies, like fast food. We begin to take on wasting diseases because we choose not to eat a proper diet. Staying away from places like McDonalds, Burger King, and Popeyes. ( yes I said it). even Popeyes. These places are designed specifically take away our health.
Let’s start by taking back our health, and cooking our own food with all natural and organic ingredients.
My job is to help those dealing with health issues to come to terms with what their eating and help them to get back on track. It’s all about building relationships and changing lives. Let’s do it together…
One of the biggest reality check I have to face, is that knowing at any time I can easily fall right back into my old ways. Eating the fast food, snacks like chips and soda.
In fact since the move to Chesapeake, I have actually done just that. I’ve fallen off the wagon. Still working out, but the difference I am seeing when I do eat the meat and the meat and dairy, is I started to see a lack of energy and inflammation has taken it’s told only in a few months. Of course I have not done the meat and dairy consistently, but I do notice a difference when I do.
My decision is now going back what I know works and what helps me to better impact my life and the lives of others. How am going to help others, when I’m not doing the work. I am pushing myself to get back up as I know this Plant Based Diet works only if I stay committed and work it.
Tomorrow’s breakfast, packed and ready to go.
Because I am out of Greens, I will be adding in my leafy greens to this. Today marks a new day. So if you’ve fallen off the wagon, get right back on it and try again.
Til next time be encouraged to press forward.
